Curriculum

Here you can find more about the school curriculum, along with a copy of the school curriculum plan which details what your child will be learning about each term. Underpinning our whole curriculum we have our '3Bs and beyond' programme which links RE, PSHE, British Values and Respecting Rights together.
We are building a community within our school to help us build the community outside school.
For more information please contact Mrs Dennis or Miss Rana.

At Benson Community School we work hard to deliver a curriculum that is engaging and exciting. We teach all subjects through a ‘creative curriculum’; which means learning across English, Maths, Science, Design and Technology, History and Geography are all linked by a common theme each half-term or term where possible. We call this a ‘Learning Journey’.

There are opportunities for the children to go on educational visits, have visitors in to run workshops or perform for them in school and most importantly, for the children themselves to help lead learning. Homework projects may be set for your child linked to their ‘Learning Journey’, so please support them in being as creative as they wish to be!

We have added the National Curriculum overview for each year group on this page too.

Please have a look at our PowerPoint showing you what we teach in computing across the school.
