Our Pastoral Team is committed to ensuring that there are no barriers to learning for any of our children. It is made up of a number of staff, all with different roles who are very skilled in supporting children and families.
The team includes DSLs (staff trained in Child Protection and Safe Guarding), our Family Support Worker, Attendance Officer, Senior Learning Mentor, SENCO and Health Mentors. We have a ‘Team Around the Family’ approach to the pastoral work we do and regularly work with external agencies to offer greater support and provision to meet the needs of our children.
We are very fortunate to have four Health Mentors who work for us. They have joined us from Evolve.
“Project HE:RO is a programme designed by Evolve to address the key issues that primary school pupils, particularly in inner city schools, face. HE:RO supports pupils, teachers, parents and school staff by providing highly trained Health Mentors that address physical, social and emotional wellbeing issues to get pupils in the right frame of mind for learning.”
