On Wednesday, the children in 3C visited Pizza Express in Birmingham city centre and had the opportunity to create their own vegetarian pizzas. First, the children travelled to the city centre on the tram. Once they arrived at the pizza shop, they were instructed to wash their hands thoroughly before putting on an apron and hat. Initially, they had to knead some dough into the shape of a pizza. After placing the dough into a circular metal tray, they spread some passata sauce across the whole of the pizza before sprinkling large pieces of mozzarella cheese on top. Finally, the pizzas were put into a hot oven and cooked for 6 minutes. The pizza shop manager then boxed up all the pizzas and the children brought them back to school.
