During the Spring term in Year 3 children have had the opportunity to study the Roman Empire. We looked at maps of Europe, noticing the spread of the Empire as it made its way towards Britain.

A topic which the children enjoyed was looking at the life of a Roman soldier, learning about their routines and all of their weapons. We even had a go at designing a Roman shield, which the children have turned into some fantastic creations at home, just check out some of our fearsome Roman warriors!

Nothing caught the children’s imaginations more than travelling back to some of Britain’s bloodiest battles in Drama and English. Take a look at our news reports to find out the latest developments.
