During the Autumn term in Year 4, Children had the opportunity to study the Anglo Saxons. They studied how they had traveled from across Europe to Britain and settled down to a new life.

One of the exciting activities the children did was to create models of Anglo-Saxon villages

Children used a variety of household materials to create thier village. They included houses, forests, rivers and animal pens in their designs. The completed models were fabulous!

Another exciting topic that children in Year 4 covered during the Autumn term was looking at the Hindu festival of Diwali. Children learnt about its significance and how it is celebrated by Hindus. They created face masks of Rama, Sita and Hanuman and enacted the story of Rama Sita; created Rangoli patterns and made Diva lamps out of clay.
