During the summer term, Year 6 will be looking at the different types of relationships we have with the people around us. This week, we looked at the links we have with our classmates.

We were introduced to a new game – we had to stand in a circle and the only equipment we had was a ball of string! The person who started chose someone they had something in common with and, while holding the end of the string in one hand, they threw the ball of string to that person. That person then chose someone else and it continued. We challenged ourselves to find interesting things we had in common such as hobbies outside school or our hopes for the future.

Eventually, the circle looked like a spider web – lines of string from one person to another. We realised that those lines stood for friendship, relationships and links that we had with each other. It was lovely to see the different relationships we have with each other in our classes.
