Back to Children's work

This week Year 3 visited the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery (BMAG) in the city centre as part of their Romans Learning Journey topic. They had an opportunity to attend a workshop on Roman soldiers and their lives. They found out about their diet, training and uniform and reenacted a celebratory parade for the Roman soldiers after returning from a successful battle. Later on in the day, the children were able to visit the Ancient Rome gallery, as well as the many other historical exhibits in the museum. It was a highly informative and engaging visit which the children thoroughly enjoyed.
