For this term, Year 6 have been learning about World War One and the millions of people who died so we could live in peace. We were amazed to find out how many men arrived from other countries in the British Empire to help us win the war. As we were so inspired by their stories, we came up with our own messages in support of the Royal British Legion’s Thank You campaign to recognise the centenary of WW1. We are thankful for many things but, in particular, that we are allowed to live in a country where our voices can be heard.
